EVANSVILLE, Ind. For the second consecutive year, Robin Lawrence, Director of Marketing of the Evansville Cancer Center in Evansville, Ind., will be awarded the American Academy of Dermatology’s Golden Triangle Award on Thursday, July 27, 2006 in San Diego, Calif. She will be recognized for her commitment and tireless efforts towards increasing awareness about skin cancer and the dangers of tanning.

"As a cancer survivor and employee at the Evansville Cancer Center, I have been afforded personal and professional opportunities to help others understand the importance of protecting themselves from skin cancer."
In addition to working with the Evansville Cancer Center, Lawrence contributes her time and expertise to many non-profit organizations including: the American Cancer Society; Cancer Care Options, Inc.; Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure; United Way; Evansville Council of Churches; Albion Fellows Bacon Center (a home for abused women); Evansville Christian Life Center; ECHO Health Clinic; Habitat for Humanity; Humane Society; Outreach Ministries; and Street Relief for the Homeless.

Thanks to her vigilance and generosity, Robin has helped countless numbers of patients overcome their fears about cancer so that they can become more proactive about prevention."
