2004 Prostate Cancer Speaker - Stan "The Man" Musial

Evansville Cancer Center was proud to have Stan "The Man" Musial come to Evansville in August as the 2004 Prostate Cancer Speaker!

Stan Musial was a player with the St. Louis Cardinals for 22 years. He's a Hall of Famer as well as a prostate cancer survivor.

In this special presentation, he spoke about his career, baseball highlights, the importance of men being screened for prostate cancer and much more.

The program took place on Saturday, August 28th at Evansville’s Marriott on Hwy 41
Luncheon - 11:30 a.m. - $100.00 per Person

Included Ticket to 1:00 p.m. Program & Ticket to The Otters Final Home Game on Friday, August 27th where Stan ‘The Man’ threw out the first pitch of the game against Richmond Roosters.
Presentation - 1:00 p.m. - $10.00 per Person

Autographs were signed by Mr. Musial with 100% of proceeds going to Cancer Care Options, Inc. Limit one autograph per person. No bats, hats or jerseys.


The Evansville Otters sold raffle tickets for $1.00 each, and 100% of the proceeds went to Cancer Care Options, Inc. One lucky ticket holder won an autographed baseball bat signed by Mr. Musial! Cancer Care Options is a not for profit organization that gives emergency assistance with ANY person with cancer that cannot afford to buy their medications their physician has prescribed but are in pain or suffering.
