2006 Skin Cancer Screenings


On Friday, May 5th, 2006, Evansville Cancer Center with the generous help of Shari Barrett, M.D. and Jane Lim, M.D., both board certified dermatologists, hosted a FREE full body skin cancer screening at the Cancer Center.

Dr. Barrett and Dr. Lim screened 86 people. Of the 86 who were screened, 33 needed follow-up care. Pictured below is an actual melanoma identified by both Dr. Barrett and Dr. Lim from attendee Belinda Self. It was able to be removed successfully through surgery.
