Robin Lawrence-Broesch Speaks at National News Conference
Robin Lawrence-Broesch, Marketing Director for ECC and skin cancer survivor, was invited by the American Academy of Dermatology to speak at their 2005 Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month national news conference at the Bryant Park Hotel in New York City.
The annual Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month news conference is a high-profile media event that enables journalists from television, radio, newspapers and magazines to learn about the latest and most important news in skin cancer.
The information presented at the event is often the foundation of what the media reports to their audiences on skin cancer throughout the year. Media coverage extends beyond those in attendance, as news releases on the presentations are distributed nationwide.
Robin led a five minute talk on how melanoma diagnosis has affected her life. Following the presentation, there was additional time for questions and answers from the media. Afterwards, she attended the National Coalition for Sun Safety at the Metropolitan Café. The Coalition has a membership from government, grassroots organizations, media and industry who have a common goal to reduce the incidence of skin cancer in the US.
