Prostate cancer will strike over 220,000 men in the United States each year. One man in six will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. Early detection and treatment is one of our best tools in saving lives. Screening that includes a Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) test combined with a digital rectal exam has led to cases being diagnosed earlier often leads to a cure and increased survival.

Senator Bob Dole has taken a strong leadership role as an advocate for the early detection and treatment of prostate cancer, since his own successful treatment for the disease over eight years ago.

The Evansville Cancer Center is pleased to announce The Honorable Robert Dole will be in Evansville to help raise awareness of prostate cancer. As a distinguished national leader, respected senior statesman and a brilliant legislator with international acclaim, Bob Dole will offer first hand accounts and antidotes of the challenges we have and will face as a nation. As a prostate cancer survivor, he will be sharing the story of his personal battle with prostate cancer emphasizing the importance of early detection for this disease. This year's program, "Bob Dole Speaks Out", will be entertaining, educational and challenging.
